Ultra Electronics, Communication and Integrated Systems has won business worth £10m for the Canadian Maritime Helicopter Programme. The latest contract by Sikorsky International Operations, Inc. to design, supply and support more than 40 Multi Link Processor Systems (MLPs) for Sikorsky International Operations, Inc. which is a subsidiary of Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., a United Technologies Corp. company.
Ultra's MLP provides a secure Link 11 tactical data link capability with future growth to Link 22 and the contract is expected to be extended to include a through life support contract. This contract reflects a strategic relationship that is developing between Ultra and Sikorsky and strengthens Ultra's place at the heart of the tactical data link community within the defence helicopter and unmanned air vehicle sector. Ultra has secure tactical, command and control and video data link technologies operating in the most challenging airborne conditions around the world today.
