Giga-Communications Ltd, manufacturer of satellite and microwave equipment for secure government / military communications as well as television newsgathering, has won Britain’s most coveted business award, the Queens Award for Enterprise.
The Queen's Award for Enterprise is presented for outstanding achievement by UK businesses in the categories of Innovation, International Trade and Sustainable Development.
The award was announced on 21st of April, the Queen’s birthday and is in recognition of the company’s outstanding achievements in international trade. Amid a background of depression in their market sector, Giga-Communications Ltd has staved off major global competition and grown its export business year on year.

The company, which already employs more than 50 people, continues to grow.
