As the London 2012 Olympics draw ever closer, Wood & Douglas will be providing a key component to the games being broadcast live to a global audience of billions through its specialist outside broadcast equipment.
Our Outside Broadcast equipment has become the de facto standard for media outlets worldwide and in the run up to London 2012, we were delighted to “fine tune” broadcast kit that will be used by the BBC. Because of the highly complex radio environment that will be operating at London 2012, broadcasters have very specific radio frequencies on which to broadcast live pieces to camera. Having checked that our Outside Broadcast equipment was operating on exactly the right frequency, we are now looking forward to watching live reports from the BBC knowing that our broadcast equipment will help to deliver the most exciting moments from the games directly to homes worldwide.
